MONROVIA, June 28 (LINA) -The Commissioner General of the Liberia Revenue Authority (LRA), Elfreida S. Tamba, has pledged government’s commitment to work with the World Trade Organization (WTO) to implement its policy in Liberia.

Commissioner Tamba stated that customs is indeed a vital component of the Fix Trade Facilitation Chain and that the LRA recognizes the significance of this responsibility to enhance trade and commerce in the country.

The LRA official made the pledge Monday at the beginning of a three-day National Workshop on Post-Accession organized by the WTO, U. N Conference on Trade and Development and the Liberian Government in Monrovia.

She stressed that Liberia and all implementing stakeholders will obtain the necessary support to facilitate the achievement of the various action plans of the WTO.

She pointed out that the support will enhance Liberia’s position to benefit from the several opportunities that are available to WTO members.

Commissioner Tamba emphasized that collaboration and coordination should be the hallmark in the successful implementation of WTO activities in Liberia.
