The performance management system training, conducted from December 1, 2015 to March 18, 2016, is part of the public sector modernization project that is intended to enhance the performance of civil servants in the country.

According to a press statement issued Thursday and read during the Ministry of Information regular press briefing in Monrovia, the training brought together civil servants and Assistant Ministers from 11 government ministries and agencies.

The statement named ministries that benefited from the training as Finance and Development Planning; Internal Affairs; Justice; Foreign Affairs; Education; Health and State for Presidential Affairs.

According to the statement, other institutions that benefited from the training include the Liberia Institute of Public Administration, Civil Service Agency, and the Governance Commission.

The statement indicated that facilitators of the training were drawn from LIPA and CSA with funding from USAID, SIDA and the World Bank.

The program was held Wednesday in the auditorium of the University of Liberia main campus on Capitol Hill in Monrovia.
