NCCC Raises Over L$170K For Laboratory Project

By Wellington Patrick, Nimba County Correspondent

SANNIQUELLIE, March 11 (LINA) -The Nursing Department of the Nimba County Community College (NCCC) has raised over L$170,000 to purchase equipment for its Nursing Demonstration Laboratory.

Addressing journalists in Sanniquellie at the weekend, the Director of the Nursing Program, Madam Elizabeth Yelegon, disclosed that the nursing laboratory is being constructed, furnished, and supplied with major training materials by Government.

She, however, explained that the money being raised is intended to purchase other basic scientific equipment to ensure effective operation of the nursing department.

Students of the department organized the fund-raising program to generate resources for the laboratory equipment.

The fund-raising ceremony was held simultaneously with the capping and badging program held over the weekend in the auditorium of the College, and was organized by the administration.

An instructor of the department, Mr. Omasco Wuor, disclosed that the department needs over L$1 million to purchase equipment for the demonstration laboratory.
