Police Clarify Suspicious Death In Totota
By Philip T. Singbah, LINA Bong County Correspondent

GBARNGA, June 8 (LINA) - The Crime Services Department (CSD) of the Bong County Police Detachment says it has no evidence that the man discovered dead in Totota, Bong County was killed.

Residents of the area Tuesday discovered the decomposed body of a man believed to be in his early 30s around the Totota General Market and immediately contacted the police.

The discovery of the body has raised suspicions among residents with some assuming that he was killed.

However, the commander of the CSD said while it is true that investigation was ongoing, the police have not established the cause of death nor the identity of the man.
Inspector John Kelenso Flomo said upon getting the report, the police dispatched a forensic team to the crime scene to work along with the community to inspect and identify the body.

Inspector Flomo explained that due to the condition of the body, the team was unable to cross-examine it to establish whether or not there was foul play.

Meanwhile, the CSD chief has called on residents of Totota to remain calm and assist the police in the ongoing investigation of the suspicious death.
