Civil Servants To Get Loan From Bank In Nimba

By Wellington G. Patrick, LINA Nimba County Correspondent

SANNIQUELLIE, June 6 (LINA) - Civil servants in Nimba County will now have access to loans in cash and material supplies from the Micro-Finance Community Bank in Sanniquellie.

Making the disclosure to the Liberia News Agency (LINA) in Sanniquellie Monday, the Co-Chair of the Board of Directors of the bank, Madam Yah Tokpah said the Legal Power of Attorney (LPA) and other documents have been approved for civil servants transacting with the bank to access materials and cash loan.

“Only civil servants who own salary accounts with the Sanniquellie Micro-Finance Community Bank will be eligible for the LPA program,” Tokpah clarified.

She named items available under the LPA loan program as food, construction materials and household utensils, among others.

The Legal Power of Attorney (LPA) is an opportunity provided by a Bank for working class to access materials and cash from a third party business center in a form of a loan with payment being done based on arrangement with the creditor.

She explained that the LPA has been arranged between the Bank and a local business in Sanniquellie and that the program has already begun void of additional interest rate other than the prices of the goods.

“Interested civil servants will have to fill in a form at the bank, making them eligible to get the desired materials from the store upon submission of a permission slip from the bank,” Madam Tokpah added.

She called on civil servants across the county to make use of the opportunity in order to better their lives.
