GBARNGA, June 6 (LINA) - Deputy Information Minister Andrew Tehmeh has presented twelve cartons of assorted medical supplies to the Beletanda Health Center in Sanoyea District, Bong County.

The Beletanda Primary Health Center, which was dedicated at the weekend, is providing health services for more than thirty thousand inhabitants of Sanoyea District and parts of Gbarpolu County.

Making the donation on behalf of Minister Tehmeh, the Coordinator of the ‘Associates of Andrew G. Tehmeh’, Randall McGill, said it was the Minister’s way of identifying with the center in catering to the needs of the people.

According to McGill, Minister Tehmeh was grateful to the government and former Senator Richard Flomo, who initiated the construction of the health center in the 1990s.

McGill said as a developmental organization in Sanoyea District, the ‘Associates of Tehmeh’ has for the past three months made separate donations to various health facilities in the district, including, the Sanoyea and Gbonota clinics.

He explained that the group will continue to buttress government's effort in the provision of basic social services for the people of Sanoyea District.

Materials presented to the health center include syringes, medical gloves, needles, nose mask, bed sheets and stretchers, among others.
