Plans Afoot To Build 5 Public Toilets In Bo-Waterside
By D. Ignatius Roberts, LINA Grand Cape Mount County Correspondent

ROBERTSPORT, June 2 (LINA) – Plans are underway to construct five public toilets in the Township of Bo-Waterside in Tewor District, Grand Cape Mount following the conclusion of ongoing negotiations with county authorities.

Bo-Waterside Town Chief Zuanna Cole made the disclosure Wednesday at a town hall meeting during which citizens decried the poor sanitary condition of the town.

The citizens attributed the situation to the lack of public latrines which is causing some residents to defecate indiscriminately around the town.

They indicated that if nothing is done by the leadership to arrest the situation soon, the probability of an outbreak of diseases will be inevitable.

Chief Cole admitted that the area does not have a single public toilet facility, prompting residents to litter the community with feces in plastic bags.

He then assured that the situation will be arrested once the toilet facilities are constructed.
