ROBERTSPORT, March 10 (LINA) - The leadership of Grand Cape Mount County has broken grounds in Tienii Town, Tewor Statutory District for the rehabilitation of roads in the county.
Superintendent Imam Mohammed Paasewe made the disclosure Monday in an interview with
the Liberia News Agency Grand Cape Mount County correspondent.
He said in the implementation of the projects, priority will be given to the Madina-Robertsport, Tienii-Porkpa and Lofa Bridge roads, which he described as main highways.
Superintendent Paasewe disclosed that equipment for the rehabilitation work has been made available through the effort of Grand Cape Mount County Senator Edward Dagoseh.
He explained that portion of funding for the projects will come from the County Development Fund (CDF) allotment.
The CDF is an annual allotment of US$200,000 made available by government in the national budget for counties to undertake development projects as they see fit.
Meanwhile, the County Administrator has appealed to the international community, local and international Non-Governmental Organizations in the country to assist them with fuel and other materials that will enhance the work.
