By Sampson G. David, LINA Grand Bassa County Crrespondent

BUCHANAN, April 10 (LINA) - Grand Bassa County Senator Jonathan Kaipay has completed the rehabilitation of a 31km road in District Number 2, Grand Bassa County.

The upgrade of the road, which directly links the main Buchanan highway to Civil Compound Two, was launched on Saturday, March 19, 2016 by Sen. Kaipay due to its deplorable condition.

According to Senator Kaipay, the project was done in two phases, focusing on rehabilitation of the road and reconditioning of over five bridges along the route.

He disclosed that the improvement of the road is intended to ease the transportation constraints residents of District Two in Grand Bassa County are confronted with.

Speaking to newsmen recently, Kaipay added that upgrading of the road will be extended to Senyah, a town behind Civil Compound Two upon the dedication of the first portion from Waka Town on the main Buchanan highway to civil compound which is expected to take place on May 14, 2016.

He put the cost of the 31km road rehabilitation project at US$15,000, adding that it is his way of appreciating residents of District Two for electing him during the 2014 Special Senatorial Election.
