NUOD Embarks On Agric Project In Cape Mount

ROBERTSPORT, April 1(LINA) -The National Union of Organizations of the Disabled (NUOD) Grand Cape Mount County branch has embarked on the cultivation of two acres of farmland in the county.

This was disclosed by NUOD County Coordinator Bendu Fahnbulleh in an interview with the Liberia News Agency in Sinje Town, Garwula District recently.

She said one acre is located in Porkpa District, while the other is in Tewor District.

Madam Fahnbulleh said they will plant pineapples and cassava in Tewor District, while bananas and peanuts will be grown in Porkpa District.

She said the organization has decided to invest in agriculture to raise funds for the sustenance of the group to ensure that it does not depend on others always.
