Yekepa YMCA Graduates 79 Youth With Skills
By S. Kannay Ziamo, LINA Ganta, Nimba County Correspondent

GANTA, March 31 (LINA) - Seventy-nine young people from across Nimba County have graduated from the Yekepa YMCA “Securing Healthy Lives And Sustainable Livelihood (SHLSL)” project.

The graduates obtained certificates in general construction, electricity, hair dressing, tailoring and driving on March 27.

Of the 79 graduates, 31 are tailors, 17 drivers and 11 hair dressers, while the remaining ones obtained certificates in general construction.

The vocational training program is one of the components under the YMCA’s two-year project through which youth acquire skills from vocational training that will add value to their lives.

In remarks, YMCA Branch Coordinator Elizabeth Varney admonished the graduates to “go into the world and make a difference,” referring to them as
Ambassadors of the YMCA.
