Rivercess Supt. Threatens ‘Punitive Action’ Against ‘Fake NGOs’
By Christian Toegar Chea, LINA Rivercess County Correspondent

CESTOS CITY, March 28 (LINA) - Rivercess County Superintendent Matthew Zoegar Daniels has threatened to shut down any Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) operating in the county that fails to present its documents to his office for verification.

He made the statement in an interview with reporters recently against the backdrop that some NGOs are in the habit of “presenting false reports” to donors, while many are duplicating projects.

“If NGOs are working in consultation with my office, many of the problems in the NGO circle will not exist,” Daniels explained, noting that several NGOs are operating in the county without presenting their documents to his office.

He indicated that it is important that these NGOs coordinate with each other and the Ministry of Internal Affairs to see how they can direct the projects to the communities most in need.
