Supt. Brown Sets Up Committee On Security Post-UNMIL
By David Pamas Seedee, LINA Bomi County Correspondent

TUBMANBURG, March 22 (LINA) - Bomi County Superintendent Samuel Folley Brown has constituted a six-member committee to formulate plans to enhance security after the U.N. Mission in Liberia (UNMIL) withdraws from the county in April.

Superintendent Brown said the committee is headed by the County Superintendent.

In an interview with the Liberia News Agency Monday in Tubmanburg, Brown said the committee will draw up strategies and hold consultations with the security apparatus and stakeholders in the county on how to take over some security responsibilities.

He said some of the issues the committee will also address include the management of the assets UNMIL will leave with the county and identifying potential institutions to take over the facilities on the UNMIL main compound in Tubmanburg.

He said this is intended to secure and ensure proper management of the assets in the county.

According to Superintendent Brown, the committee will also inform the citizens in the various districts about the withdrawal of UNMIL and how the County Authority and the people can play roles in the security of the county.
