Bo-Waterside Women Crave Skills Training
By D .Ignatius Roberts, LINA Grand Cape Mount County Correspondent

ROBERTSPORT, March 5 (LINA) - The Chairlady of the Bo-Waterside Women Association in Tewor District, Grand Cape Mount County, Kula Paasewe, is appealing to government, local and international partners to construct a skills training center for women and girls empowerment in the district.

Chairlady Paasewe made the appeal in an interview with the Liberia News Agency at her Bo-Waterside office recently.

She said women and girls in the community have been denied training opportunities in tailoring, pastry, cosmetology, soap-making and vegetable farming, among others.

Madame Paasewe emphasized that in order to empower women and girls in the area, there was need for government and NGOs to construct a center that will provide them skills training.

She said if the women and girls are provided training opportunities, they will contribute to the rebuilding of the nation in the aftermath of years of civil conflict.
