SANNIQUELLIE, February 22 (LINA) - Citizens of Kpolay, Zor Clan Electoral District #3 in Nimba County have raised over L$10,000 to construct a “peace hall” in the district estimated at L$50,000.

The amount was raised during a ground-breaking ceremony organized by local authorities.

Additionally, the Sawyer Union in Kpolay donated four bundles of zinc and seven bags of cement as its initial contribution to the project.

The town’s Youth Chairman Emmanuel Garteh told reporters the hall would be used for peace-building and holding development forums when completed.

According to Garteh, chiefs, elders, students, youths and women leadership groups, among others, have pledged their support to the project.
