First Regional Service Center For Sanniquellie March
By Wellington G. Patrick, LINA Nimba County Correspondent

SANNIQUELLIE, February 22 (LINA) - The first Regional Service Center (RSC) in Sanniquellie, Nimba County will be opened to the public early March, Nimba County Superintendent Fong Zuagele has disclosed.

The center will facilitate the processing of national documents such as land deeds, driver licenses, birth certificates and passports, among others, to foster government’s decentralization program, he pointed out.

Zuagele told reporters over the weekend that owing to the lack of these services in Sanniquellie, residents have been making costly and tedious trips to Monrovia to process vital documents.

“Up to today, Nimbaians have to travel to Montserrado to process needed national documents and travel papers, and this is time consuming and financially burdensome for common citizens,” he noted.

He indicated that when the center is opened, it will “dramatically reduce time and transportation liability imposed on rural dwellers while seeking simple documents in Monrovia.”
