Speaker Tyler Urges Commitment to Development

By David Seedee, Bomi County Correspondent

TUBMANBURG, March 6 (LINA) – Bomi County Representative and Speaker of the House of Representatives, Alex Tyler, has called on citizens of the county to pay more attention to the development of their political sub-division.

Representative Tyler said it was the responsibility of all citizens to help develop their county, to ensure better living conditions for their children.

Speaker Tyler made the appeal at a press conference he hosted in Dewein District, Bomi County Wednesday.

He said the US$73 million proposal he made for the 2014/2015 national budget is intended for each electoral district in the country to get an annual amount of US$1million, to ensure speedy development of the country.

Speaker Tyler challenged citizens of Bomi County to showcase agricultural projects to President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, when she arrives in the county as part of her nationwide tour.

This, he noted, will dispel the notion that citizens of the county are lazy people adding, “We can do what others can do to produce more agricultural produce in the county.”

Representative Tyler also urged the citizens of Bomi to unite, so that they can move their county forward.
