GBARNGA, February 15 ( LINA ) - About fifty students attending the Bong County Technical College (BCTC) have honored Deputy Information Minister Andrew Tehmeh for his support to the education of youth in the county.

The students, many of whom hail from Sanoyea and Fuamah Districts, said Minister Tehmeh’s continued support to the young people further demonstrates his commitment to the country’s development.

Speaking at the honoring program held in Sanoyea Town at the weekend, the president of the “Andrew G. Tehmeh Scholarship Foundation”, Emmanuel Quaikpeh said they were grateful for the financial and moral support Tehmeh continues to provide them in their academic pursuit.

Quaikpeh said besides the students he sponsors at the BCTC, Tehmeh two years ago recruited more than 26 girls to attend the Gbarlatuah Girls Mission in Zota District, Bong County.

The students, as part of the ceremony, also gowned Minister Tehmeh and extended thanks and appreciation to him for funding their studies at the BCTC.

In remarks, Tehmeh assured the students of his continued support aimed at giving meaning to their lives.

He said while it is true that he was investing in other sectors in Sanoyea and Fuamah, he has given special attention to the education of the youth.

He thanked the students and encouraged them to study hard to get the required grade point to remain on the scholarship.
