By Richard D. Baysay, LINA Margibi County Correspondent

KAKATA, February 9 (LINA) – Margibi County District # 4 Representative Ben A. Fofana has launched the construction of additional annexes to the Cuttington University Junior College in Kakata, Margibi County.

Funding for the US$45,000 project, which is expected to be completed in four months, will be provided through the Legislative Support Project and implemented by the Liberia Agency for Community Empowerment (LACE).

Speaking during the ground breaking ceremony at the weekend, Representative Fofana said the project is in line with his 2016 development agenda for the people of Margibi County Electoral District #4, and in response to a request by students of the college last year.

He said the development of youths and women is key to the growth and development of Liberia, adding that undertaking such initiative is in fulfillment of his duty and responsibility to his constituents.

In remarks, the Interim President of Cuttington University, Dr. Evelyn S. Kandakai, commended Representative Fofana for undertaking the project, noting that he has demonstrated “an exceptional leadership skill” in helping to create conducive learning environment for future leaders of Liberia.
