UP Bong Chair Intensifies Road Rehabilitation  in Zota
By Philip T. Singbah, LINA Bong County Correspondent

GBARNGA, January 19 ( LINA) -A citizen of Zota District has extended the rehabilitation of feeder roads to Zota Wolapolu Clan.

In an interview with the Liberia News Agency in Zota District Monday,  Robert Flomo Womba said the reconditioning of farm-to-market roads in Yowee and other major towns in the clan is in continuation of his development plans for the district.

Womba pointed out that the rehabilitation of feeder roads in the area is his own way of providing economic relief to the residents.

He noted that upgrading the roads will enable residents to take their farm produce to nearby markets.

It can be recalled that in October 2015, Mr. Womba rehabilitated several feeder roads in the district, including the Gbanshue-Nygai—Shankpalai, Belefanai-Payeta and Kollieta-Worta roads.

Womba, who is also Chairman of the Bong County Chapter of the ruling Unity Party, disclosed that funding for the road projects comes from his meager resources.

Meanwhile, citizens of the district who spoke to LINA are lauding Womba for the initiative and are appealing to other citizens to emulate his example by undertaking other meaningful projects in the district.

They disclosed that since 1973, this is the first time a motor-grader has been to the area to rehabilitate the damaged roads.
