ROBERTSPORT, November 9 (LINA) – An official of the Community Watch Forum of Liberia (CWFL) Grand Cape Mount County branch has assured that the forum can buttress national security effort in combating crimes when the U. N. Mission in Liberia (UNMIL) departs the country.

CWFL local Chairman Abraham Balo said since the pronouncement by the U. N. Security Council in September 2016 that UNMIL will withdraw from Liberia, the UNMIL has been providing training to CWFL members on how to pass on information to state security to prevent negative activities in the society.

was speaking at the weekend in Robertsport in an interview with the
Liberia News Agency.

He said protecting lives and property in the absence of UNMIL is not the responsibility of the national security apparatus alone, but every Liberian.
He said in Grand Cape Mount County the CWFL is protecting and monitoring all border towns and villages with Sierra Leone to avoid illegal crossing into Liberia.
