GGCCC Warns Donors Against Expired Seedlings

By Chris Nyenapee, LINA Grand Gedeh County Correspondent

ZWEDRU, November 3 (LINA) - The Chairman of the Agriculture Department at the Grand Gedeh County Community College (GGCCC) has warned donors against giving expired seeds to the department to avoid embarrassing the institution.

Philip Neoh’s warning comes in the wake of a recent donation of vegetable seeds by a political group which were later discovered to be expired and of no use.

Speaking to the Liberia News Agency in Zwedru recently, Neoh said despite the fact that the department is in need of donations to upgrade the college, those who have the desire to assist should do so void of politics.

Displaying packs and cans of vegetable seeds recently donated to the department, Neoh said the rejection of the donation by the institution signifies to donors that the college is not a dumping ground for would-be politicians.

In another development, the Gedeh Community College is expected to exhibit produce to showcase its production in cassava, vegetables and other crops.
