Lofa Peace Chair Urges Youth To Be Peace Ambassadors
By Gabriel T. Bundor, LINA Lofa County Intern Correspondent

VOINJAMA, October 29 (LINA) - The Chairman of the Lofa County Peace Committee and Peace Work Liberia has urged youth of the county to be ambassadors of peace, especially in the wake of UNMIL’s drawdown from the country.

William Howard also called on youths across Liberia to do away with the culture of violence in order to become productive citizens who will contribute to the peace and stability of their country.

Speaking at programs marking the observance of the 70th Anniversary of United Nations Day held in the auditorium of the Lofa County Community College (LCCC) in Voinjama recently, Howard called on Liberians to talk peace and also exhibit the attitude of peace in everything they do.

Meanwhile, Howard has noted that the significance of the role played by UNMIL in Lofa and Liberia in general cannot be over emphasized, adding: “The work of UNMIL in Liberia has greatly contributed to the peace and stability we now enjoy.”
