GBARNGA, October 27 (LINA) - Bong County Electoral District #2 Representative Prince Moye has turned over the newly-constructed annex of the Kili-Tour Maa Elementary and Junior High School to the Ministry of Education and the people of Duaita.

Representative Moye said construction of the annex was funded from the national budget.

Speaking at the dedicatory ceremony of the school in Duaita at the weekend, Moye said during the 2011 elections, the people of Duaita approached him to renovate the school and build an annex to cater for the growing student population in their community.

Representative Moye said he promised the citizens that if elected, he will make sure their wishes are done.

He noted that he lobbied with his colleagues in the National Legislature to allot US$20,000 in the national budget to construct the annex.

He said the renovation was done by UNICEF.

The lawmaker lauded the efforts of other members of the Bong Legislative Caucus in making sure the money was approved for the project.

Receiving the keys to the building, Bong County Education Officer Edward Kpulun thanked the lawmaker for ensuring the allotment to construct the school.

Kpulun vowed to work with all sectors of the county to improve the education system of the Bong County.
