Youth Advocate Wants Economic Policy For Lofa

By Korboi Gbelewala, Lofa County Correspondent

VOINJAMA, March 3 (LINA) -A youth advocate in Quardu Gboni Chiefdom in Lofa County, Omoru Fofana, has stressed the need for authorities of Lofa County to formulate a policy that will enhance economic development locally.

Mr. Fofana said the policy, when formulated, should be disseminated to all public sectors for implementation, to help them identify local developmental needs to enhance and improve the living standard of the people of Lofa County.

Fofana, who visited and interacted with several youths and citizens at the weekend in Quardu Gboni District, said if the policy is encouraged and instituted, local authorities will then provide the available resources to develop the county’s economy.

According to the Liberia News Agency, Mr. Fofana stressed that there is a need to improve not only infrastructure but also the agriculture sector.

He said the policy should also encourage public and private partnership in building infrastructure, boosting agriculture and transport at the local level.
