NCCC Students To Construct Social Center

SANNIQUELLIE, March 3 (LINA) -The student council president of the Nimba County Community College (NCCC), Mr. Prince Mehn, says his administration has earmarked on the construction of a modern student center at the college.
According to a local community radio, Mr. Mehn made the disclosure
at the weekend during his inauguration as president of the student council.
According to the station, guests at the inaugural ceremony contributed about US$2,000 towards the project, which is estimated to cost US$15,000.
In remarks, the head of the administration of the College, Dr. Yar Donlah Gonway Gono, appreciated the level of peaceful transition organized by the student leadership and promised to continue to work with the student union in achieving their goals.
Defense Minister Brownie J. Samukai, who delivered the keynote address at the induction ceremony, disclosed that plans are underway to
renovate the Sanniquellie barracks and other major barracks across the
Minister Samukai said the Chinese government has donated equipment through the Ministry of Public Works for the renovation process.
The Defense Minister called on individuals encroaching on the property of military barracks to vacate, to avoid future embarrassment.
