Lofa Joint Security Tightens Borders With Guinea

VOINJAMA, October 14 (LINA) - The joint security in Lofa County has increased patrols along Liberia's borders with Guinea as election activities take place in that neighboring country.
Guineans went to the poll in presidential and general elections on October 11, and results are trickling in since then.
Making the disclosure to the Liberia News Agency (LINA) in Voinjama Monday, the Liberia National Police Lofa County Commander J. Tito Lolin said the patrol will remain in force until official results are announced.
The local Police Chief named Kondadu and Bolongoidu in Quardu Gboni District and Solomba in Foya Statutory District, among others, as entry points that are being patrolled by officers of the joint security.
Lolin said all entry points have so far been calm and normal activities are going on while the electioneering processes proceed.
