Commissioner Zinnah Wants Speaker Tyler Intervene In Construction of Bridges In Klay District
By David Pamas Seedee
TUBMANBURG, October 10 (LINA)-Klay District Commissioner Alfred Zinnah is appealing to Speaker Alex Tyler to prevail on the Mano River Union Development Company to fast-track the rehabilitation of damaged bridges and the road from Amadu Town to Gonzip Town in Klay District, Bomi County.
Commissioner Zinnah said for more than two years now the company has been constructing the damaged bridges, but is yet to complete them.
In an interview with the Liberia News Agency in Tubmanburg recently, Commissioner Zinnah said Speaker Tyler as a direct Representative of Klay District, is undertaking the rehabilitation of the road and bridges under his Legislative Projects.
He did not however mention the cost of the projects.
Commissioner Zinnah said citizens of the areas, especially those from Amadu and Gonzip Towns, are complaining about delays in the completion of the road projects.
According to Commissioner Zinnah, citizens of the areas, including the women, take off their clothes every time they get to a damaged bridge and walk in the river to get to the other side of the bridge.
He added that travelers sometimes undress themselves three times before reaching their destinations.
He described this as disgraceful and sinful, and made an impassioned appeal to the House Speaker to intervene to ensure the completion of the projects.
