TUBMANBURG, March 1(LINA) - Bomi County District Number 3 Representative, Haja Siryon, has donated assorted drugs valued at US$57,000 for use by health facilities in the district.

Representative Siryon made the donation in Jenneh # 3, Dewein District, Bomi County on Friday.

Speaking to reporters after the donation, the Suehn and Dewein Districts Representative said she was moved by the poor health conditions of citizens in her district, to lobby for an allotment in the National Budget as member of the Ways, Means and Finance Committee of the House to purchase the drugs for her districts.

Representative Siryon said the drugs will be distributed among the ten clinics in Dewein and Suehn Mecca Districts.

The lawmaker has meanwhile praised the Government for the allotment made in the National Budget.

She called on the Bomi County Health Team to ensure that pregnant women, baby mothers, children and the elderly were given priority in the use of the drugs.

Receiving the drugs on behalf of the Bomi County Health Team, the Administrator, Sando Sirleaf, lauded Representative Siryon for the donation which he said was timely.

Mr. Sirleaf promised that the drugs will be used properly.

He used the occasion to call on Bomi County citizens at home and abroad to emulate the good example of Representative Siryon.
