Three Nabbed With Marijuana In Gbarnga

GBARNGA, October 8 (LINA) -Three persons are currently undergoing investigation by the Bong County detachment of the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) in connection with Drug Trafficking.
Abraham David 36, Wefer Wehso 35, and Samuel Paliwo 25, were arrested Thursday morning on the Ganta--Gbarnga Highway by personnel of the Armed Forces of Liberia (AFL) assigned at the Camp Tubman Military Barracks in Gbarnga.
Making the disclosure in an interview with the Liberia News Agency (LINA) in Gbarnga Thursday, DEA Bong County Commander Darius Paye said the suspects were arrested at about 5:00 A.M on board a Nissan Sony Taxi that was traveling from Ganta to Gbarnga with 240 kilograms of Marijuana valued at L$153,000.
According to Paye the DEA is concluding investigation of the three alleged drug traffickers following which they will be sent to court for prosecution.
The DEA commander lauded the AFL personnel for their vigilance, and encouraged other residents of the county to partner with the DEA in arresting drug smugglers and traffickers.
He also warned citizens against harboring drug traffickers, as anyone caught in such act will be dealt with in accordance with the law.
