Lasanna Wants Bomi Caucus Intervene In Sime Darby Explosion
By David Pamas Seedee, LINA Bomi County Correspondent

TUBMANBURG, October 6 (LINA) - Former Bomi County Senator Lahai Lasanna has expressed regret over the failure of the County’s Legislative Caucus to attend to victims of the recent chemical explosion on the Sime Darby Plantation in Gbar, Klay District, Bomi County.

Lasanna said since the explosion on the Sime Darby Plantation, the Caucus is yet to identify with those affected by the explosion. The former Bomi County Senator expressed the regret when he appeared on a local radio station talk show in Tubmanburg recently.

He pointed out that the decision by the Caucus to invite the management of the company to Monrovia for investigation into the explosion instead of on the plantation shows their lack of concern for people working on the plantation.

Lasanna said the Caucus members who were elected to represent the interest of the people should have done the investigation on the plantation in order to gather firsthand information about what happened on the plantation that day.

He has meanwhile called on the Management Sime Darby to take all necessary precautions to avoid a recurrence of such incident.
