By Philip T. Singbah, LINA Bong County Correspondent

GBARNGA, October 5 (LINA) - Bong County Senator Jewel Howard Taylor has thanked citizens and residents of the county for her re-election as Senator in the 2014 Special Senatorial Election.

Speaking in Jorquelleh Administrative District # 2 in continuation of her tour  of the county at the weekend, Senator Taylor said she was gratified by the support given her by residents of the county despite her inability to reach all of them during the election period.

Senator Taylor said with the overwhelming confidence reposed in her in 2014, she will use her second nine-year term to attract more development to the county and work with other stakeholders to complete long-standing projects in the county.

The Bong County Lawmaker said scholarships for citizens of the county and empowerment for grassroots women remain major priorities in her quest to advance the county’s development agenda.

While in Genequelleh, Senator Taylor expressed regret over the delay by the County Health Team to open the clinic despite its completion and assured the residents that all will be done to open the health center this year.

Senator Taylor’s tour of Jorquelleh District Two took her to Janyea, Genequelleh, Tamayta and Tolomai.

During most of the town hall discussions, the citizens appealed to Senator Taylor to provide scholarships for youths of the district; adding that several young people of the district are in need of educational empowerment.
