ZWEDRU, Feb 28 (LINA) - Grand Gedeh County Superintendent Peter L. Solo says the reactivation of the Liberia News Agency (LINA) will help boost the dissemination of development information in the country.
He made the remarks at his office in Zwedru earlier this week when a four-man Ministry of Information, Cultural Affairs and Tourism (MICAT) delegation paid a courtesy call on him.
He said with the presence of LINA developments taking place in every nook and corner of the country will be brought to the public to appreciate what government is doing to improve the living standards of Liberians with the limited resources available.
Earlier, t LINA Editor-in-Chief Pete Kahler, who headed the four-man MICAT team, presented to the county authorities the LINA correspondent to Grand Gedeh, Chris Nyenapee.
He emphasized that while the agency is not meant to serve as a propaganda machine for government officials, it will project the government’s development agenda so that Liberians every will understand the strides and gains made by the Government.
