SEPTEMBER 28, 2015 (LINA) - Sierra Leonean Vice President Dr. Victor Foh has urged graduates of the Cuttington University to moderate their expectations, knowing that although government is the largest employer, it simply cannot absorb everyone at once.

Vice President Foh said the key to moderating expectations is in creativity and innovation.

Delivering the 54th commencement convocation address of Cuttington University on Saturday, September 26, Dr. Foh told the graduates it is time for them to be creative and to endeavor to be self-reliant and not to wait for government before they can be employed.

Sierra Leonean VP, who was conferred upon the Degree of Doctor of Humane Letters, further urged the graduates to rise and be of service to humanity.

He thanked the administration of CU for the honor and also for the establishment of the Peace and Conflict and the Service Learning programs, noting that they are cardinal to the development of Liberia and Africa.

Also speaking at the occasion, Vice President Joseph Boakai cherished the honor that Dr. Foh could come to help broaden the horizons of the graduates.

Cuttington on Saturday graduated 146 students from its Graduate Program, 346 persons got degrees from its Undergraduate Program, 39 received Associate degrees, while 14 obtained diplomas in Higher Education.
