J.J Dossen Hospital Resumes Services

By John Bropleh, Maryland County Correspondent

HARPER, MARYLAND County, Feb 28 (LINA) - The J.J. Dossen Memorial Hospital in Harper, Maryland County has begun full operations following nearly two weeks of strike action by health workers around the country.

County Health Officer Dr. Odell Kumeh told the Liberia News Agency Friday that though the doors of the hospital were not closed during the strike action, health workers abandoned the facility.

“But this has now changed and all health workers have been back at work during the week,” Dr. Kumeh said.

When the LINA Correspondent visited the hospital Friday morning, he saw every department open with nurses who could not be seen during the strike action treating patients or performing other tasks.

Meanwhile, some of the health workers who were interviewed by the Liberia News Agency said all was over and that they were back to continue their services to humanity.
