By John N. Bropleh
HARPER, Feb 27 (LINA) - Acting Maryland County Superintendent, Mr. Henry Cole, is appealing to the government, through the Central Bank of Liberia (CBL) , to establish a cash bank in the County.
Superintendent Cole said the establishment of such a bank will facilitate the encashment of government employees’ salary checks as well as employees of non-governmental organizations and international agencies operating in the County.
Speaking in an interview with the Liberia News Agency in Harper Thursday, Mr. Cole who is also County Inspector for Maryland noted that for many years now, people in the County have been finding it difficult to encash government checks due to the lack of such a facility.
He observed that when such a facility is established in Harper, it will also help improve business, financial activities and transactions in the County.
Meanwhile, the Maryland acting Superintendent is appealing to the management of Ecobank to improve its system to save its many customers unnecessary frustration.
