MONROVIA, September 23 (LINA) –The Vice President of the Republic of Sierra Leone, Victor Bockarie Foh, has said he feels at home in Liberia.

He made the statement at a press stakeout at the Roberts International Airport in Margibi County upon arrival in the country Tuesday evening.

Vice President Foh was invited by his Liberian counterpart Joseph Boakai to serve as the Guest Speaker at the 54th Graduation of the Cuttington University in Suakoko, Bong County on Saturday, September 25.

“Though the President, Her Excellency Ellen Johnson Sirleaf is on an official visit outside the country, I am happy to be in Liberia and I am assured that I will be well taken care of by Vice President Boakai and the Liberian people,” VP Foh emphasized.

In response to a question about his country’s present status regarding the Ebola crisis, Vice President Foh said all is being done to ensure that the virus is pushed out of Sierra Leone.

He lauded the Government and people of Liberia for reaching point zero in the fight against the virus.

Vice President Foh was met upon arrival by some members of the Diplomatic Corps led by the Doyen of Diplomatic Missions in Liberia, Guinean Ambassador Abdoulaye Dore, as well as top government officials led by Vice President Boakai.

He is expected to depart the country on Monday, September 28.
