Commonwealth DEO Threatens To Quit If…
By D Ignatius Robert, LINA Grand Cape Mount Correspondent

MONROVIA, September 16 (LINA) -The District Education Officer (DEO) of Commonwealth District in Grand Cape Mount County has threatened to seek reassignment if authorities of the district fail to provide her accommodation.

Madam Terue Taylor made the threat at the close of a two-week Training of Trainers Workshop for teachers and school administrators in the county recently organized by the Ministry of Education with sponsorship from the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).

She said since her appointment as DEO in 2013, she has not been able to get a house to rent to reside with her family.

According to the Liberian educator, she and her family have been given temporary shelter by the Land Commissioner of the county, as numerous promises to provide her a house to rent by the citizens are yet to materialize.

The Ministry of Education local official said the failure to obtain a house to rent is making life unbearable for her family in the county.
