DCL Donates Starter Kits To 37 Women In Bomi
By David Pamas Seedee

TUBMANBURG, September 11 (LINA) – Defense for Children International (DCI), a non-governmental organization, has presented Starter Kits to 37 Women in Tubmanburg, Bomi County.

Making the presentation in Tubmanburg recently, DCI Executive Director Foday Karwoh said the women were trained by the organization in soap-making and tailoring prior to the Ebola outbreak, and that the starter kits were intended to empower them.

Karwoh said items in the starter kit include materials for both soap-making and tailoring. He put the cost of the items at US$35,000.

He named items in the starter kits as sewing machines, pressing irons and lappers, among others, for tailoring, as well as oil and other items for soap-making.

The women thanked DCI for the training and the starter kits provided them, and promised to put into practice what they have learned to help them survive.
