“Cross Border Meetings Key To Ending Ebola Scourge” – Supt. Kpadebah
By D. Ignatius Roberts, LINA Grand Cape Mount County Correspondent

ROBERTSPORT, September 10 (LINA) – Grand Cape Mount County Superintendent Tenneh Kpadebah has said cross-border meetings by Ebola-hit countries are vital to ending the Ebola scourge in the region.

Supt. Kpadebah also noted that the cross-border meetings that have taken place between stakeholders from Liberia and Sierra Leone are intended to strengthen the longtime bilateral relationship between the two countries.

The Grand Cape Mount County official made the statement recently at a joint Liberia -Sierra Leone cross boarder meeting in Bo Waterside in Tewor District, Grand Cape Mount County.

She commended local and international health partners for their roles during the Ebola outbreak in the county, adding: “The roles played by health workers helped significantly in the fight against the virus which claimed many lives.”

She, however, indicated that though Liberia has been declared Ebola-free by the World Health Organization for the second time, the government in collaboration with local and international health partners remains committed to prevent resurgence of the disease.
