LNRCS Embarks On WASH Project In Cape Mount
By D. Ignatius Robert, LINA Grand Cape Mount County Correspondent

ROBERTSPORT, September 9 (LINA) - The Liberia National Red Cross Society (LNRCS) has embarked on a Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) project in Ebola-hit communities in Grand Cape Mount County.

Making the disclosure to the Liberia News Agency (LINA) Tuesday, LNRCS Cape Mount Chapter Communication Officer Bobby Sheriff said the project is intended to provide residents of these communities safe drinking water as most of them lack access to clean water.

Sheriff named communities to benefit from the project as Camp Three, Weelor, Bo-Waterside, Tienii and Jenewonde in Tewor District.

Others are Dendajah, Boesan and Bohay in Porkpa District also in Grand Cape Mount County.

He noted that the Liberia National Red Cross Society is under obligation to provide safe drinking water and better toilet facilities for these communities to avoid an outbreak of diseases.
