Bomi ETU Turned Over To County Health Team

TUBMANBURG, September 4 (LINA) –The International Organization on Migration IOM) has officially turned over the Ebola Treatment Unit (ETU) in Tubmanburg to the Bomi County Health Team (CHT).
County Health Officer Dr. Gabriel Logan disclosed that to make maximum use of the facilities, the Security, Sanitation, Maintenance and Ambulance Departments of the Liberia Government Hospital in Tubmanburg have been transferred to the ETU.
In an interview with the Liberia News Agency recently at his Tubmanburg office, Dr. Logan said during the dry season the CHT will transform one of the tents into a permanent structure.
He said when the structure is constructed it will be named and used as an Infectious Disease Clinic that will contain about 100 beds.
He said the clinic, which will be operated by the CHT, will address issues of any health epidemic or infectious diseases.
Meanwhile, Dr. Logan is appealing to the international community and partners to increase support to the Government of Liberia to enable it increase support to government clinics and hospitals in the country.
