HARPER, September 1 (LINA) - Maryland County Superintendent. Betsy Toe has called on education authorities to tackle educational issues in the county head-on to improve the output of academic institutions.

Superintendent Toe also said those in the field of teaching should develop passion for the profession, noting that this will ensure the provision of quality education in the county.

The Maryland County Superintendent made call in Harper Monday at the opening of a six-day training of trainers workshop organized by the Ministry of Education in collaboration with UNICEF and USAID for 22 District Education Officers, school principals and teachers from across the county.

She challenged them to take the training seriously as it will help add value to their skills.

The workshop, which dwelled on psychosocial and first aid pedagogy, is being facilitated by the Ministry of Education.

In remarks at the opening ceremony, UNICEF Head of Field Office, Marine Mousier urged the participants to take the workshop important as it will help to prepare them to perform their duties more effectively.
