House E/lects Delegates To ECOWAS Parliament

MONROVIA, August 25 (LINA) - The House of Representatives Tuesday elected a three-member delegation to the Parliament of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) for a four-year term.

Those elected were Jefferson Kanmoh of Sinoe County, Haja Siryon of Bomi County and Montserrado County’s Edwin Snowe.

Karmoh and Snowe were elected on white ballot, while Siryon defeated Munah Youngblood 45 to 11 votes to claim the spot. Two invalid ballots were reported during the counting process.

Prior to the conduct of the election, Kanmoh and Siryon as well as Eugene Fallah Kparkar of Lofa County were representing the House of Representatives at the ECOWAS Parliament

Kparkar did not contest the 2015 election which was conducted by Chief Clerk Mildred Sayon in keeping with the rules of the House.
