Grand Kru Supt. Hails LINA Revival
By John Bropleh
BARCLAYVILLE, Feb 25 (LINA) - Acting Grand Kru County Superintendent T. Michael Wisseh has commended the management of the Liberia News Agency (LINA) for its effort in providing news and information to the Liberian people.
He said LINA has over the years contributed immensely towards national awareness and cohesion by gathering development news through its bureaus around the country for dissemination to the people.
Supt. Wesseh was speaking Sunday in Barclayville when he received the LINA’s Editor-in- Chief Mr. Peter Kahler, who arrived in the county at the start of a one-week nationwide tour.
The tour is intended to formally introduce the agency correspondents to local authorities throughout the country and request that they grant the LINA representatives all courtesies in performing their tasks.
Earlier, Mr. Kahler introduced Mr. John Bropleh as the LINA correspondent responsible for Grand Kru and Maryland Counties.
Meanwhile, Mr. Kahler, who earlier visited Maryland County on a similar mission, is expected to visit River Gee, Grand Gedeh, Nimba, Bong, and Margibi Counties before returning to Monrovia.
