By D .Ignatius Roberts, Grand Cape Mount County Correspondent

ROBERTSPORT,  August 19 (LINA)-Two Liberian fishermen charged with “Theft of Property” for allegedly stealing five goats and 12 sheep valued at 3,450 United States dollars are undergoing trial at the Robertsport Magisterial Court in Grand Cape Mount County.

The two fishermen, Charles Johnson and Morris Massaquoi, who were arraigned before the Robertsport Magisterial Court on Monday, pleaded not guilty to the allegation, but requested the court to provide them a competent lawyer to represent their legal interest due to lack of money to hire a lawyer

The two fishermen were arrested by the Liberia National Police on July 6, 2015 in Semahuem, Commonwealth district with one of the goats.

The two defendants are being represented by the County Public Defender Counselor Boima E.Paasewe, while the plaintiff is represented by the County City Solicitor Abraham Sheriff.

The case is expected to resume on Thursday, August 20, 2015.
