Maryland Superintendent Calls For Unity
By Robert Dixon

MONROVIA, August 19 (LINA)-Maryland County Superintendent Besty T.Kuoh Toe has called on Marylanders at home and abroad to unite for the growth and development of the county and Liberia as a whole.

Superintendent Toe pledged the central government’s willingness to support any development project initiated by the people, if Marylanders demonstrate willingness to work together.

She noted that land dispute among the people is creating division, but assured that the county leadership has begun to intervene in settling land disputes harmoniously.

She stressed that Maryland County has the potential for major development transformation that could improve the living condition of the people.

Superintendent Toe disclosed that 20 projects have been identified to be completed before the July 26 celebration in Maryland County 2016.

The Maryland County Superintendent who is currently in Monrovia, made the disclosure over the weekend when the Barrobo Women Development Association (BWDA) held a thanksgiving service in her honor at the Greater Love Church in Doe Community, Monrovia.

Earlier, the former superintendent of the Assembly of God Church Liberia , Rev. Jimmie Kuoh, said to be a successful leader , God should lead an individual to lead the people.

Rev. Kuoh noted that Liberian leaders have been trying their own ways to steer the nation without God‘s direction, noting that has led to underdevelopment of the country over the years.

He indicated that if Superintendent Toe should succeed as Superintendent of Maryland County for unborn generations to remember her reign, then she must submit to God’s guidance.

He pointed out that the reason why generations upon generations can refer to King David’s reign is because he submitted his leadership to God instead of himself.
