By Justice C. Gaddeh, LINA River Gee County Correspondent

FISH TOWH, August 17 (LINA) - The Liberia National Police detachment in River Gee County has charged 10 persons with armed robbery, theft of property, criminal conspiracy, attempted murder and aggravated assault in River Gee County.

Making the disclosure to the Liberia News Agency in Fish Town Monday, Police Superintendent E. Wriggs Drumwillie said the ten were charged for allegedly burning down the Police Depot and a DAF Truck in Kilepo Jlowroken following an accident involving the truck and a motorcycle on August 8, which led to the death of the cyclist.

Those charged and sent to court include Clan Chief E. Tully Nyan, Anthony Weagba, Steven K. Sossa, Augustine Kuway, Cyrus Weagba, Richard Powoo, Andy Tuilah, Seith Tuilah, Sieh Choloplay and Michael Choloplay.

Meanwhile, the local Police Chief has lauded the citizen of Kilepo for the information that led to the arrest of the 10 suspects, noting that the search for the other perpetrators is ongoing.

He called on the public to aid the police in arresting those that are at large and warned motorcyclists against mob justice and violence as a way of resolving disputes.

On August 8, a blue and white DAF Truck with plate number DT – 0167 operated by one Bangalee Konneh and a Safari Motorbike with plate number ILMTU 057 operated by Siamu Choloply were involved in an accident that led to the death of the motorcyclist.

Following the incident, some angry motorcyclists and citizens of the town set ablaze the police station and the truck after security officers refused to honor their request to turn over the truck driver to them.
