Traditional Leader Hails Sirleaf-Led Gov't
By Korboi K. Gbelewala, LINA Lofa County Correspondent

VOINJAMA, August 12 (LINA) -The Head of the National Traditional Council of Liberia Lofa County branch has praised President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf and the Unity Party-led Government for the significant gains made since coming to power in 2006.

Old man Forkpa Boakai named the building of health centers, markets, public schools, courts and roads as well as the promotion of freedom of speech, respect for religious and traditional rights, and the eradication of the Ebola virus, among others, as significant gains made by the Sirleaf-led government.

Old man Boakai pointed out that the strides made by the government clearly demonstrate President Sirleaf's commitment to what she and others advocated for, noting that this is something that past governments never demonstrated.

Old man Forkpa Boakai made the commendation in an interview with the Liberia News Agency Tuesday at the headquarters of the National Traditional Council of Liberia Lofa County branch in Telbomai, Voinjama City in Lofa County.

Meanwhile, the traditional leader has pledged the Council's commitment to continue to work with the government in promoting reconciliation among the citizens, noting that with reconciliation, peace and unity, Liberia will move forward.
