Hospital Worker Charged With Rape, Kidnapping In Gbarpolu

NEW BOPOLU, August 11 (LINA) - The maintenance officer at the Chief Jallah Lone Medical Center in Bopolu District, Gbarpolu County, has been charged with rape and kidnapping by the Women and Children Protection Section of the Police Detachment.

John Koloko was formally charged Tuesday after a medical examination report
from the hospital confirmed that he used his fingers to penetrate the private part of a 12-year-old girl at his New Bopolu residence.

He has been detained at the Bopolu Central Prison awaiting trial at the Circuit Court.

Koloko, 46, was arrested based upon a complaint filed by the victim's mother.
